Here is Kevin's Post from the Funatic Board after the Event :
The summit started at 4:00-4:30 PM and of course our guests all showed up closer to 5:00PM.
I then gave a tour of my house to Jay, Al & Liz. Then I let everyone loose in the Funko Toy Room
and we caught up with each other, laughed a lot and talked about Funko! Jay brought a few copies
of his book and Smart Alex catalogs and passed them out. You should check out the pictures of Jay
(in the back of his book) when he was a hot younger man........whew! What a stud! We then had
some pizza & pop and the the toys were passed out! I think Steve already posted some of the prizes,
but Brian was very generous to all of us! Some great POP protos, wobbler protos, T-shirts from the Comic-Con!
I had a blast seeing everyone and I am so glad that all of you were able to make it over
and spend a few hours in my home! I really enjoy showing my Funko Room to people, but rarely
ever have visitors that even care to see it, so I look forward to any Funko event at my home.
It was so nice to catch up with Jay whom I rarely get to see anymore and has been part of Funko
since early on! I always enjoy catching up with Al (Wackyhead) & his wife Liz too! Al was also a
part of Funko from the early days........I once saw him at an "Less Than Jake" concert buying
mini LTJ Evo-Kids to distribute to other collectors on the forum! Cory (another Funko collector from the early days)
and his family are also favorites at Minnesota Funko events! I have watched his kids grow up over the years!
Cole is 12 & Zoey is now 3 and is one fierce ball of energy! That girl had us all going and laughing very hard ......
what a ham! Steve was also in attendance and is just one of those quite observers who takes everything in,
but has tremendous Funko spirit and is a great addition to our Funko Forum! And last but certainly not least,
I want to thank Brian for the continued support of our annual event.
We hope that one year you can make it out here for one of our events Brian!
Again, I thank you all for making another successful wobbler summit!
