What is the Funko Hall of Fame ?
Funko has always been great to collectors/funatics, as well as there dealers.
At the events that they host, they are called Funko Fundays, awards are given.
Here is an old post from Wobble World on the First Funday event as told by Travis ..

the 1st Fundays at Sparky's in CA .. it was held on 09-20 or 09-21 in 2002 !!
I just got back from a great trip the Evergreen State and would love to give the COF, Claudia,
and all the great people at Funko a great big thanks for all the hospitality they showed.
But now on to the part you guys care about, the report of what exactly went down this weekend.
It wasn't exactly public knowledge but this weekend was the first annual Freddy Funko Awards.
Held at the Big Picture in downtown Seattle, the awards drew people from all over the country
including Virginia, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and a sizeable population of Los Angeles.
The evening started with some drinks and food where everyone got to meet each other and
basically get a chance to meet everyone that makes Funko go. The evening then shifted to the
first part of the awards ceremony. The guest were greeted to a warm welcome to the COF and
the were shown some "vintage" videos of a classic rocker by the name of Rick Springfield.
This was followed by a great video of one of the Food Networks episodes of Unwrapped which
focused on classic cereals and ad icons. There was then a short break followed by the actual
presentation of awards. Through out the night there were 8 golden Sparky's given out for
various achievements, the recipients were Brandon Clarke, Mike "That Toy Guy" Paquin, Dave
from Sparky's, Brenda from Sparky's, Sparky's (They Swept), Ron From Nodderworld, Kevin from
Scooter's Collectibles. The coveted award for the night was the Golden Spring award.
This was taken home by one Dave Vonderland of Vonderland Studios for his exceptional work on
the Funko website and his general attitude of going above and beyond the call of duty.
Next Mike Paquin said a few remarks about Funko and presented the COF with a custom Golden
Big Boy and Silver Freddy that Mike had painted himself. The next presentation was from Ron
from nodderworld who presented the COF with an amazing neon sign in the shape of the Funko Logo.
After the award part two more videos were shown, one of a great new wave band from the 80's,
that featured a member that looked strikingly like the COF, and another episode of Unwrapped.
After the videos the night was pretty much a wrap, but the following day the party moved to the
Puyallup fair grounds where a great day of eating fair foods and riding fair foods was had by all.
And of course the COF treated everyone to one of the greatest rock shows of all time, one
Rick Springfield, and the COF was lucky enough to get to meet the rock god himself.
Finally as everyone knows every good party is not complete without gift bags and since Funko
knows how to throw a party there were defiantly gift bags. The items inside you might ask,
A Funko T-shirt, a box of animal crackers, a box of Boo-Berry, some assorted candy, an Oscar Meyer
Whistle, the 2002 Funko Catalogue, a copy of the 1st Wacky Wobbler Field Guide, and in every bag
were 2 wobblers exclusive to the Freddies, the first was a Lefty Lemon painted green and the second
was a gray hair Beatnik, both of these had bases that read 2002 Freddies. But wait there's more
randomly inserted in some bags were such things as 50th Anniversary Colonels and the grand prize
for the night PEZ Freddies. Rumor has it that the production run for the items of the night
breaks down to about:
48 Green Lemons
48 Gray Beatniks
38 PEZ Freddies
and about 20 Gold Freddies
so all you fanatics have four new pieces that you can add to your Holy Grail list.
Anyways that's my report hope you guys got a feel for the fun that was had by all and once again I
want to extend the biggest thanks to everyone that was there for showing me such a good time
especially the COF, Claudia, Brandon, Ron, Amy, Cindy, Sean, Dave B., Dave V., Katie, Brenda,
Sherri, Rob, Nishka, and yes even Mike P.
Oh yeah and there will be pictures to come from both Brandon and I
